Actually MTNL gave me an ADSL router which connects to the USB port as I don't have any Network card. I am using an ancient P-III with 810e motherboard (probably of Chinese origin). The PC is dual boot with Windows XP and the Triband connection works on Windows, which I use for connecting to the Net.
As you would have guessed I am a novice at Linux. Some years back I got inspired by the Free/Open Source philosophy or ideology, call it what you will, and began to experiment with a few Linux distros offered by PC Quest. But so far, I have not been able to get an internal modem to work with Linux. So I use Windows for Internet, which is really a SHAME. If you can help me out with Triband, I might finally discard Windows and become a pucca Linux user. Aurobindo Majumdar --- "Mahesh T.
