Thanks Arun.

I had guessed as much (that one could probably disable logging by 
recompiling the source) - But I was looking for something simpler (like 
a .conf file ).. Went through the sources today and realized that 
there's no way other than editing the "config.h" and/or "pathnames.h" files 
to disable / or control logging. :-(
