I'm happy to finally annonce that patch-2.2.12-irda1 is out. You can apply
this patch to Linux-2.2.10/11/12 and will give you all the latest IrDA
stuff from Linux-2.3
I hope that as many people as possible can try this patch, so I can rapport
to Alan if it's all working or not. Then we might have a chance to put this
stuff into 2.2.13 as well as 2.3.16.

put the patch in /usr/src
cd linux
patch -p1 --dry-run < ../patch-2.2.12-irda
if there are no errors then
patch -p1 < ../patch-2.2.12-irda
make dep && make all && make modules
...

PS. James, I had to reject your patch since it didn't patch cleanly with
this code (I forgot to apply it before I applied my own patches, and now it
gets a bit messy). Could you please fix this since I have enought things to
do already?
