Wanted to put out a few feelers with respect to the price and strength
(distance) of linux-irda supported hardware:
What is the cheapest SIR hardware people have found? (Actisys 220L is $69
direct from them)
What is the strongest SIR hardware people have found? (I get 4-5ft in
office light conditions with the ESI JetEye)
Also, do people know what the distance specs are on the Palm III/V/VII, IBM
and Visor (Handspring product) PalmOS products are? I know a 3rd party
retrofit for PalmPilots gives you stronger IrDA than stock Palm III comes
with. Curious to hear what you all have found.
