Hi Dag,
Thanks for the tip.. Something still isn't going right. I built irda
utils 0.9.4 and replaced the binaries from .9.5. (There were some things wrong
with the build.sh file, gnobex stuff didnt build proprely, I fixed this and
installed everything) Now /var/log/messages doesnt complain when I run
irattach. However irdadump still doesn't do anything. Well it does display
stuff. But I turn discovery off and it stops. But it doesnt detect anything
when i aim my remote control at the port and press buttons. Im using a vanilla
2.2.12 from rhat 6.1. I haven't applied the irda patch and built a new kernel.
Is this the problem? The bios lets me configure the port to be either IrDA,
IrDA 1.1 (SIR), or IR-Ask(? must check this on the next reboot to confirm) I
have it set to IrDA. What should I normally see when I run irdadump and shoot
a remote control on it?

Thanks in advance,
Eric
