Hi,
I am trying to connect to a Motorola L7089 mobile phone over the infrared
port, but it won't work. Or better said: I can open the device file
/dev/ircomm0 but the connection is `dead', the mobile phone won't respond
anything.
It worked exactly once with the command `cu' and I was able to send commands
like ati and atz via the infrared interface (which were replied by the phone
with OK or ERROR) but this was not repeatable.
I tested it with an unpatched Kernel 2.3.34 and with the original SuSE
Kernel from 6.3, Version 2.2.13 (In SuSE Linux 6.3 IrDA generally works when
used for example with the Siemens S25 or on the Canon BJC-80 - perhaps it is
some trouble especially with this mobile phone?)
I included the output of irdadump when trying to send something with cu
(babbage is my desktop system using a motherboard adapter and the irport
driver).
If you need more debugging output please let me know. As you can see the
mobile phone is in range (sorry for long lines):
