Hello everyone!
I was wondering if anyone could help me with this problem:
I have two computers, one is a PII, and the other a P200MMX with an A-Trend
ATC-5000 Motherboard, using the Intel 430TX chipset. What I want is to connect
the two using IrLAN in Linux, but I am not sure as to how I can accomplish that.
On the PII, setting up IR was pretty straight-forward (there is an option in the
BIOS that says "UART2 Use Infrared", and I get IR on COM2 + I bought an IR-module
to connect to the motherboard).
On the other M/B there is a place to connect an IR module, and the manual says it
supports IrDA, but I can't find anything in the BIOS settings about IrDA... I
haven't tried anything yet, but do you have any idea of how to enable it? I know
I could use a serial-port adapter or smth, but I'd like to make use of this
motherboard's abilities, since it claims it has them...
Any help will be appreciated,
Mihnea
