I cannot find the problem here, so maybe it would be possible for you to
send me your syslog at debug level 2? What you need to do:

1) Change your /etc/syslog.conf

kern.*                                                  /var/log/messages

# Log anything (except mail) of level info or higher.
# Don't log private authentication messages!
*.info;mail.none;news.none;authpriv.none;kern.none      /var/log/messages

restart syslogd, klogd

2) Set debug level to 2

echo 2 > /proc/sys/net/irda/debug

3) Start the stack and try to reproduce the panic. 

4) Send me the relevant part of /var/log/messages
