I am using the same kernel and the phone works perfectly :) Just be sure that you have enabled kmod in the kernel, compiled the modules there. I compile all of them as modules. Also check your BIOS and see where are you put your IRDA port on which serial port. I am using ActySYS 210 and in the BIOS i setup com2 as my Ifrared port. Then in Linux just run: irattach /dev/ttyS1 That's all.
