Ok, I probably have some irq problem:
The computer manual says the ir-device has irq=3. When I
"setserial /dev/ttyS2 irq 3", and then "irattach /dev/ttyS2" I get
[root@armada /root]# tail /var/log/messages
Jul 26 11:22:24 armada irattach: device=/dev/ttyS2
Jul 26 11:22:24 armada irattach: SIR device
Jul 26 11:22:24 armada irattach: tcsetattr: Input/output error
and irattach quits. When I use irq=4 (default), I get
[root@armada /root]# tail /var/log/messages
Jul 26 11:23:26 armada irattach: device=/dev/ttyS2
Jul 26 11:23:26 armada irattach: SIR device
Jul 26 11:23:26 armada kernel: IrDA: Registered device irda0
Jul 26 11:23:27 armada irattach: SIR device (2)
Jul 26 11:23:27 armada irattach: Starting device irda0
Jul 26 11:23:27 armada irattach: executing: 'echo armada > /proc/sys/net/irda/devname'
but when I try to e.g. beam from a palm, the irdadump says
[root@armada /root]# irdadump
09:24:55.204160 xid:cmd 46aa8b58 > ffffffff S=6 s=2 (14)
09:24:56.204158 xid:cmd 46aa8b58 > ffffffff S=6 s=2 (14)
09:25:05.204159 xid:cmd 46aa8b58 > ffffffff S=6 s=0 (14)
forever. From some palm-apps, I can see something comming out of the
device anyway, so it could be some interupt problem, right?
I also get
[root@armada /root]# cat /proc/net/irda/discovery
IrLMP: Discovery log:
Thanks for any help!
