This is actually normal behavior. The Karma keeps track of files which have been deleted and changes to playlists within the smalldb, even though that is not strictly necessary since you can change the playlists on disk and remove the deleted entries from the database (i.e. it is probably some optimization on the Karma firmware so it doesn't have to rescan the disk when you make a change).
