I don't think the karma even cares about sda1 except as the content of the web server when you have it connected to the network. The first partition starts at sector offset 0x820, so partition zero is the first 1064960 bytes (including the partition table). The first partition itself is 0x20000 sectors (67108864 bytes). You could get a reasonably complete backup of a newly formatted Karma by copying the first 75 megs or so, though of course there are more space efficient ways (backup zero partition, forget about sda1 or use mkomfs as needed for it, and use my 1meg blank_karma_image.gz for sda2). > I see.
