how do i boot w/o starting networking?

the output of 'ifconfig eth0'

output of netstat -nr

DESTINATION  Gateway Genmask       Iface

0.0.0.0      128.205.7.254 0.0.0.0 eth0

note:  i typed this stuff in....the ip's are on another domain, not in
*.edu...so those aren't the real ip's but same principal applies
