What is the rule for supernetting 2-3 subnets to appear as one single
block.
e.g I have 4 subnets of 192.168.1.0 giving 4 subnets each with 62 usable
hosts on each subnet. Can I joing the last three subnets to make it appear
as one. Will doing that will save me 4 IPs and I will be only wasting 2 for
those subnets (broascast and network).
192.168.1.0 255.255.255.192 (subnet 1)
192.168.1.? 255.255.255.? (subnet 2 after joining 2,3 and 4)
(I am joining the last three so giving total 2 subnets with 62 hosts on the
first one and 192-2=190 hosts on the last one ?). What would be mask and
network address of the last one and what routes should be used ?
Thanks,
