you already have an MX record in your dns configuration that points (with
higher cost) to your sendmail box, so if the exchangeserver is
'temporarily unavailable' the mail will be queued there;
the 'only' thing that has to be done is on the exchangeserver then, when
it comes up, it could send an ETRN domain to your sendmailhost, and
receive the queued messages.
Do you have to manage the nt box with exchange too ?
