To Whom,
Remember I was the one who was having problems with the apache program.
It turns out that something happened when I used the configuration
program in x-windows for apache. It was included in the new version of
Red Hat 5.2.
Everything up to that point was working perfectly. After the use of the
configuration program, I could not access the user directories because I
supposedly didn't have permissions. I forced reinstalled the two rpm-s
who's filenames start with apache and everything works as in the
beginning, even with my apache directories relocated in a different
directory along with wwwcount. With some unknown luck, the two files
used to reinstall apache didn't overwrite my configuration files. So,
somewhere in the dark recesses of some files, there was a configuration
unknown that wiped out when the reinstallment was procured.
Thanks for all the help from all of you. It seems sometimes using a
tomato for a hammer and a pumpkin for a nail can make it really hard to
resolve some problems.
