Hello,

I feel I have the same kind of problem Yann Bizeul had using 100Mb

My configuration is:

Linux 2.0.36  RedHat 5.2
Ethernet driver: 3c59x.c:v0.99E 5/12/98 Donald Becker

/etc/conf.modules:
options 3c59x options=25 full_duplex=1

Test environment:

Linux System Dual Processor Pentium 350
512MB RAM
3Com 3C905 10/100MB

Windows 98 Pentium 266
128MB RAM
3Com 3C905 10/100MB

Test 1
Linux <------> Windows

When having these two systems linked using a RJ45 Class5 crossed cable
the transfer time for a 200MB file is 1minute 15 seconds.

Test2
Linux <-----> HUB 3Com DualSpeed 500 10/100 <-----> Windows 98

When having these two systems linked using this Hub, lights on the HUB are
showing
100Mb transfer speed but with so many collisions that the alarm light
comes on. Transfer time raises to more than 8 minutes.

Any idea about to make sure about the problem source (3Com HUB ???)

Thanks
