Such information is impossible to obtain accurately. Most break-ins
aren't reported, so any statistics would say more about reporting than
about security.
Also, security is generally far more dependent upon administration
than the OS which is used. A system is only going to be secure if the
adminstrator takes security considerations into account.

I think that someone is getting confused between hacking and cracking.
