Hi,
I am not a computer professional but a Scientsit in Animal
Breeding. Along with breeding animals I am looking after The Agril
Research Information System (ARIS) Cell of the Institute. ARIS in India
includes all Agricultural/ Veterinary Univeresties including Institutions.
Presently it has 218 centers connected with VSAT and Dialup lines. I
started using Linux in 1996 and this was first in the system. Now about 10
centers are using Linux and a big discussion in the system is on about
having Linux as OS at all stations which will be more than 800 in a years
time. The Venders are trying to convince the authorities that Linux is for
Hackers and I being a Linux fan has to defend it so that all centers go
for Linux. Certainly Venders have got their own interst.
I have abilty and knowlege up to the using Linux OS as internet
and intranet Server using Slackware and RH 5.0 in two servers. That to I
take frequent help from Linux related lists. I do not abc of hacking or
cracking. What I need a table indicating that its not only Linux
but any OS is prone to be cracked.hacked
With Kind Regards,
Sincerely Yours
