Hi,
I've had other enquiries about routing DECnet over IP. Its in the pipeline
but not working yet. Currently I'm working on getting the endnode part
going properly. When tunneling is done, it will be done via the ip_gre device.
As far as I'm aware LAT is under a patent owned by Compaq (DEC) and
therefore we can't implement it. I've also never seen any docs on it
though people have asked me many times about LAT on Linux. VMS Clustering
is an unknown quantity to me too.
I suspect that some of the other Linux DECnet project people have
a beter idea about these things. Since I see you've got the web site,
try emailing Patrick Caulfield and/or Eduardo Serratt - their addresses
are on the site.
Also, please be aware that their is another DECnet site too. Mine has
the kernels that I've been developing from Eduardo's kernel source. Both
of our sets of kernel code run with Patrick's user utilities.
If you've any futher queries, please contact one of us,
Steve.
