I think I figured out the "and" which stands for "&". Is this true? Also, I
definitely figured out "or" which means "|" and "not" was "!".

I discovered that many words can be used just as it is done in vim, but this
leaves a dilemma. When searching for text in the body (which could be
anywhere), how does one create a condition with something from the body of
the message?

I still need the above question answered, if someone is willing.

I understand the colon now, but I wonder if it is necessary to use lockfile?

I fixed the question above by moving the LOGFILE to the Procmail directory
thereby clearing up the congestion.
I was able to find some things on the internet and do some more configuring
that helped me come up with the following. It also works very well:
PATH=/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/bin
VERBOSE=off
MAILDIR=$HOME/nsmail
DEFAULT=$MAILDIR/Inbox
PMDIR=$HOME/.procmail
LOGFILE=$PMDIR/log
