My company wishes to set up a web-page to announce ourselves to the world.
We are cuurently using a Stock RedHat 5.2 box as a file server (w Samba) and
using masquerading to allow windows clients to access the web via dial-up to
our ISP. We are allocated a dynamic ip number each time we connect via
dial-up. The machines on the network are using the ips in the 192.168.*.*
series with netmasks of 255.255.255.0
I need some suggestions as to how to set up the web page.i.e would it be
better to get a permanent connection to my isp and have all the webpages
stored on the redhat box
or just get my isp to 'host' the address which we will register with
internic or aunic.
Any suggestions, links to documentation etc welcome
Bear in mind that we are looking for the most cost effective solution and i
am a relatively inexperienced linux user but am learning fast. Please cc me
with replies
Regards,
Stephen
