I don't know what version of ncftp you are using, but in $user/.ncftp/firewall
it says that ncftp does not support proxy's like squid. Because squid uses
http, and ncftp uses only ftp. ncftp does support firewalls (well that's my
version of ncftp (3.0.0)). I also use nftp, and that also does not support http
proxy's.
