Hi! Eugene,

It's an easy one. Some day you'll teach someone how to
fix this one.

Open /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 in your favorite editor and change
all eth0's to tr0's, save the file and reboot.

Unfortunately Slackware doesn't auto-configure interface
cards, you have to edit the RC file mannually. But after
doing what wrote for you above it should work. If you want
to go further and you know bash, you can edit netconfig.
Only make a backup copy before you start.

If you're starting with Slackware, It's pretty easy to
learn to work with. roam around /etc and its subdirectories.
And don't be afraid to crush your box once or twice on the
process of learning.

Have fun!

Bye,

Herm
