Hello, network professionals!
I have installed Slackware 4.0 (kernel 2.2.6) and
ibmtr module. I followed all the instructions in
various HOWTOs, FAQs, etc, in installing Token Ring.
Seemingly, my network card is recognized at boot time
(it is "IBM ISA Adapter 2"). However, I cannot insert
IP address - after I configure my network interface
using "netconfig" utility and do
"ifconfig -a", it doesn't display the IP number that
entered and, hence, doesn't go into network.
Can someone tell me why this is happening and how
to resolve it?
Any help will be much appreciated!
Eugene.
