Thank you for responding. The simple indication that it doesn't work is the
Windows dialog box that pops up saying it can't connect to the/a server.

I scanned DEJA News only to find what you and Ketil Froyn have mentioned
(return connection on a random >1023 port).

The only hint I found on DEJA was a SOCKS server, is that the answer?

I'll look into the ipmasq-irc module and have a look at disallowing dcc. Both
topics are new to me so I may not understand the significance of what I read.
Any additional pointers would be appreciated.
