I've tried, but it didn't work out. I can make the config,
after that entering make dep causes an error 127 /scripts/makdep

I installed redhat 7 with ncurses, but without ncurses-devel packages.
After I found the prob I installed ncurses-devel and made an make clear all
in ../scripts directory. But won't work...

/usr/lib/libncurses.so -> /usr/lib/libncurses.so.5
/usr/lib/libncurses.so.5 -> /usr/lib/libncurses.so.5.1

No, either ldconfig nor reboot changes anything.

Obviously not. But how start to troubleshoot? Can I deinstall ncurses and
install it again? RPM doesn't like it, saying it causes damage to several
