linux-newbie is archived publicly on the net, for example at
groups.google.com and address-harvester can easily pick up any one
subscribers email address.
Chances are, your spam comes from this.
If the spammer really always uses the same ISP to sent their junk,
the usual way would be to complain to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (or other
contact address for example taken from a whois lookup).
