Might this be a simple typo? I usually see the speed as 57600 (that is, 2 *
28800), not 56700. In fact, 57600 is what is in the script file you
attached; the lines are:
#Pur serial line speed here.
SPEED=57600
So might it be the case that you have a different copy of the script with a
typo in it, and that's the copy you are actually running? The messages file
you sent earlier really did say "56700" -- it's not a typo on my part.
