Hello,

what kind of message do you get?

Have you checked the XFree86 "howto" at
http://sunsite.unc.edu/mdw/HOWTO/XFree86-HOWTO.html

and the Linux-Laptop page at :
http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/kharker/linux-laptop/

 Especially interesting may be
http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/kharker/linux-laptop/#x_window_system

  which has model-specific info.

Basically, you need a X server (e.g. /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_SVGA on my
system), and a configuration file "XF86Config" (/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XF86Config
, for me).

That's not much info, I know, but it is a starting point. Send us your
error messages.

  Etienne
