I've never used one of those before, but the Evergreen 486 upgrade was
featured in the August issue of Linux Journal and the author of the article was
pretty clear in stating that there is no problems associated with using the
upgrade.

Commercial, relatively powerful and very reliable. The filters still leaves much
to be desired, but that should change when v4.4.1 is release. Not quite as
powerful as many other commercial office suit. Version 4.4.1 will be available
soon.
- Star Office
Commercial but free for non-commercial uses. Powerful and relatively reliable.
I've had some problems with the reliability of Star Office, but I've heard that
it has been greatly improved in the recent versions. A little bloated, but that
might not be too much of a problem if you have motif. I've heard that version 5
will be out soon, but I'm not too sure about it.
- Word Perfect
Commercial. I do not know much about it. I'm not completely certain, but I
believe that the full office suit is not available for Linux yet.
