    i have successfully configured my network card. i have downloaded the
latest driver source of NE2000 compatible card and now it works fine.

    but, i am still confused about one thing. the driver says that the
cheapset is VIA 86C926 Amazon
(http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/ne2k-pci.html), the hardware
vendor (http://www.via.com.tw/amazon.htm) says the same thing. but scanpci
shows it as VIA 82C926 Amazon. can u explain it?
