I have to tell that what Mike told (here under) is not true.

Your computers have to have a route to themselves with mask   
255.255.255.255
and a route to the network with good netmask (here 255.255.255.0)
and sometimes a default route to the router (here loota when it has ppp   
launched)

So unfortunately i can not see what "str2" 's routing problem is.
