Hi there. I have a problem with my ISP connection. I can log on OK, and use
my network tools, but the connection seems slower than it is from windows. I
connect at the same baud-rates, but things just don't happen as fast on the
Linux side. On top of this, when I use netscape for more than 3 or 4 minutes,
my hard drive starts thrashing. I downloaded the newest version of netscape
thinking it might be a bug, but I'm not having any more luck.
I'm running Caldera's OpenLinux 2.3. It is the standard 'Home PC' install.
I am using kppp to dial in. I have a Pentium II 233 w/ 64MB RAM, and I'm
running off a 1.5GB partition with a 128MB partition for swap. I have a
ModemSurfr 56K external modem.

  Does anyone have any idears?
