I do it.  Not as much as I used to, but...

If I remember correctly this deals with adding Linux to an already
installed OS/2 partition.  I used this some time ago, and it worked very
well.

OS/2 should install onto any drive you want.  I have a few questions.
1.  What version of OS/2?
2.  How big is your new hard drive?
3.  How is your first drive partitioned?
4.  Have you replaced the appropriate files from the OS/2 installation
disks to allow it to see large hard drives?

I'm sorry I missed the first message, and I don't know that I can help for
sure, but I have installed Warp, NT, and Linux on one machine several 
times.  FWIW, I always put OS/2 on first, never on hda1.  Let us know how
you're making out.
