Correct!
To verify it once more, I just unplugged the 'private net" 3Com card, and
ifconfig reported...

eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:10:5A:87:DF:D1
          inet addr:202.190.60.154 Bcast:202.190.60.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:106 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
          Interrupt:10 Base address:0x300

And now, when I have the two 3Com cards installed and configured...

(loopback adaptor removed from output listing)
Internet is connected to eth0, and nothing is yet connected on eth1.

eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:10:5A:87:DF:D1
          inet addr:202.190.60.154 Bcast:202.190.60.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:311 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:46 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
          Interrupt:10 Base address:0x300

eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:60:08:8C:D7:8B
          inet addr:10.1.1.1 Bcast:10.1.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0

Unfortunately not the case...

Now, it beats me...
Also note that the pings I did, was sent to the card (the Hub LED blinks), and
that the background 'noise' is not received as it usually is.
