Setting date and time

Hi,

I need to set the date and time of my RH 6.2 box. I cannot
do it in the BIOS as the machine is 200 km apart from me.

I noticed that the date command can do it, but whatever
I do, it will not set the date (and time) saying
something of an illegal format.

Any help on this.
