Hi Folks
I am having a strange problem with my mouse/serial ports.
Basically my ports are configured as ttyS2 and ttyS3, part of a historical
problem from Windows that I never changed.
Until 6.3 my mouse was on ttyS3 and still is but for the life of me I
cannot
get the darn thing to work :)
During boot I get:
<6>Serial driver version 4.27 with no serial options enabled
<6>ttyS02 at 0x03e8 (irq = 4) is a 16550A
<6>ttyS03 at 0x02e8 (irq = 3) is a 16450
This is fine. gpm is configured to gpm -t ms -m /dev/mouse which is the
standard line that I had with 6.1. So far so good.
I put the mouse into ttyS2 and change gpm and it works fine but ttyS3
doesn't. So I disabled the standard ttyS3 and configured a spare port on
another IO card as ttyS3 and same problem. I have tried to make it ttyS1
but
still the same problem :(
At this stage I am at a total loss as what to do.
