cd /usr/src
rm linux
ln -s linux-2.2.16 linux
tar -xzvvf /dosd/download/linux/linux_2_2_16_tar.gz
cd linux
make mrproper config ;no modules
make dep clean zImage install
reboot
During boot-up I see something like:
Configuring eth0 as 192.168.1.2
SIOCSIFADDR: No such device
I wonder if all those boot-up messages are stored somewhere?!?
