UUID works essentially like LABEL in the contexts discussed.  There
_might_ be some scenario for renaming the device based on uuid, but that
hasn't been discussed in this thread.  I don't understand the
"anaconda+Label's" reference.

LABEL has worked well for me in resolving this issue in both grub.conf and
fstab contexts in RHEL 4&5, FWIW.
