Yeah, I noticed that RH's tools were the 0.90 set.  I didn't realize they 
also preclude the use of the 'dangerous' package.  Actually, the RH 0.90 
tools are what made me go for New RAID, instead of sticking with the Old 
RAID that comes stock in the 2.2.x kernels.

Do you have any reason to believe 2.2.16 is preferred over 2.2.17 for this 
combo?
