I just did a bunch of digging in the archive of the reiser mailing list
(off of the reiserfs homepage) and it's bad, but not something to run
away from. The main points seem to be:
- RAID 3/4/5 in the 2.2.x kernels do NOT work with reiser.
- RAID 1 is ok, as long as you do NOT allow the FS to mount when a sync
is taking place (so I just took out automounting in my fstab for now).
- Striping and concatenating works fine in 2.2.x.
- All sw RAID in 2.4 works fine with reiser, I saw this repeated several
times by several of the developers going back to 7/25.

Luckily I've only used 11Gig, and all of it is replicated elsewhere
(almost all of it on the raid-5 I replaced with the new mirror since it
was made up of old, and slooooow disks). I just hate how freaking long
ext2 takes to fsck on large filesystems. It sounds like I'm safe
sticking with what I've got as long as I don't sync while mounted. Plus
I don't keep anything critical on this box (it's my home box).
Several of the developers (and several friends I have who pound boxes
day in and day out) swear that the latest 2.4 test kernels are pretty
stable, so I might just move to that this weekend. Like I said, it's a
box that I won't freak over if it eats it and I have to reinstall from
scratch.
