Has anyone tried the new Adaptec 2100S, 3200S, or 3400S? With the current
shortage of Mylex RAID cards, we need to find something else to use in
situations where we would have used the Acceleraid or Extremeraid (where
reasonable write performance is needed in a RAID5 config). They seem to
range in price from $400 to $900...slightly cheaper than the Mylex
products nobody has in stock anyway.
Adaptec's site claims these 3 new cards are supported by Linux, FreeBSD,
and a bunch of other OSs.
