While ANY support from Adaptec is better than the active non-support
in the past, I find it troubling that they make it so difficult for
linux users to utilize their products.  Why on earth should we continue
to coddle this unwilling vendor?  It's for that reason that (when 
possible) I continue to specify Mylex cards for my systems.

Adaptec just doesn't get it.
