Hi,
I've been reading docs but couldn't figure out how to re-create a raid
device without losing data.
What I wanna do is add a spare disk/partition to an existing raid1 array.
Is there a way to reconfigure the drive(s) without losing data?
I have changed the /etc/raidtab file and ran
"mkraid --configfile /etc/raidtab --upgrade /dev/mdX" on an unmounted and
stopped device. It said no upgrade needed. When I look at /proc/mdstats
(After I start the device) I see nothing that would indicate there being a
spare device. Is that normal?
I have also looked at raidreconf which I think should do the job but I
figured I'd ask if there is anything else I could use. (yes the
disclaimer scared me. :) )
