"Cowo",
What speed are you trying to burn? Does it also fail with the
"simulate" flag and how far does it go before it fails? You
can watch proceeding during the burn (in 99pre3) by doing:
$ cd /proc/scsi/sg
$ cat debug
# repeat the 'cat debug' every second or so
Does the elapsed time/duration look excessive?
Please contact me directly if you want to do some more
2.2.14/2.3.99 comparative testing to find out where
the problem may lie.
