Hm, I've read about "unexpected interrupts" from other people, too
(including 686 boards).
But there are GA586DX without any problem. Seems it depends on the
hardware and kernel configuration.
I have a 2.2.0 kernel running without the unknown-interrupt-problem
but I lost the .config file and I can't remeber what I did for it:-(
The 2.2.2-pre2 patch does not solve this problem. But why hangs the
CPU#1 in that case? Why can't we ignore unknown interrupts?

It's a HX set.
