Hi

What type of M/B do you have?? I have a GA586DX (sounds like what yours
is!) and I've been getting 'unknown interrupt 96'. When this happens my
system clock stops.

my machine:

GA586DX
2xP200MMX
AIC7880 (onboard with 4.5 G HD)
etc

Kernel 2.2.1
