Being the originator of this thread (in it's original guise), I thought I
would say this:
I agree whole-heartedly with the paragraph above. Why would I want to pay
for extra hardware if what I've got can work?
I understand the Buslogic-Adaptec history, but I agree with not holding
grudges - they've come to the party now so lets just be happy.
That portion of the community who is willing to spend extra money to support
the Buslogics of the world will hopefully be punishment/warning enough for
the hardware suppliers out there.
Me? I'm going to spend as little as I can to get something that meets my
requirements.
