Good point. I know a few folks that have bought those machines from Dell
and have been forced to use the Adaptec junk because it is on board. It's
a shame that a nice system like the Dell box comes with that Adaptec stuff
and that Adaptec has so much power. So yeah, I don't believe in throwing
away money especially since I don't have much to begin with, but for
those starting out looking for machines, this is one issue to keep in mind.
